Trajitisaweb-basedpersonalfinanceproductwithtwosurfaces:apubliclandingpageandaprivatedashboard.Thedashboardletsuserstrackincome,setbudgets,monitorspendingbycategory,andworktowardfinancialgoals—allinoneview.Thedesignchallengewasmakingdensefinancialdatafeelreadablewithoutdumbingitdown.
Phase 02
The Problem
Mostbudgetingappsfailthesameway—theyshowyouwhatalreadyhappened.Alistoftransactionsfromlastmonthdoesn'thelpyoumakeabetterdecisiontoday.Theotherfailureisvisualoverload:dashboardscrammedwithchartsthatrequireefforttointerpret.Userscheckinonce,getoverwhelmed,anddon'tcomeback.Trajitneededtobetheopposite:forward-looking,clearataglance,andworthopeningdaily.

Design Decisions
Threedecisionsshapedtheinterface.First,Iledwithgoalsratherthantransactions—thedashboardopensonwhereyou'reheaded,notwhereyou'vebeen.Second,Ikeptthecolorpalettedeliberatelycalm:mutedpurplesandsoftgrays.Financialproductsthatuseaggressiveredsandgreenscreateanxiety.Thetonehereneededtofeelsteady.Third,thebudgetsectionusesprogressbarsinsteadofpiecharts—abartellsyouinstantlyifyou'reontrack.Apiechartmakesyoudomath.

Landing Page Strategy
Thelandingpagehadonejob:convertaskepticaluserwho'salreadytriedandabandonedanotherfinanceapp.Thecopyandlayoutfocusonclarityoverfeatures—showingtheinterfaceearly,leadingwithwhattheproductdoesratherthanwhyit'sdifferent.Thesignupflowissplit-panel:contextononeside,inputontheother,sotheuserneverlosessightofwhatthey'resigningupfor.
